Indiewire Picks 30 Movies We Hope to See
Ahead of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, IndieWire has released its picks for 30 movies it hopes to see from directors like Andrea Arnold and Luca Guadagnino. Some of the anticipated movies that will not play at Cannes include Steve McQueen's "Blitz" from AppleTV, which won't be completed on time.
Main Competition Predictions
IndieWire has also made 25 predictions for the Main Competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The predicted films include "Sweeney" by Grace VanderWaal, "Giancarlo Esposito" by Aubrey Plaza, and "Francis Ford Coppola" by Romy Croquet Mars Adam.
French director Jacques Audiard is also predicted to have a film in the Main Competition, following his previous Competition titles "A Prophet" (2009) and "Dheepan" (2015).
